THOUGHTS

Time is intangible,
Yet I know it's there.
It travels around with us,
Yet we forget it's always
everywhere.

I always thought time was
E = MC squared, Now I understand
The gravity of it all,
Time doesn't really care.

Yet I believe that time,
Dissipates in space.
For here on earth, It's not
A lover of the human race.

For time plus the spinning earth,
Stops us from floating out to space.
What if there's a planet out there,
Where time doesn't hold its sway.

Where mankind could live
forever, Come what may.
How the greatest minds,
Could live solving problems
everyday.

Maybe we would have to live,
More carefully without
the hindrance of time.
For the only thing that could
Kill us, Would be ourselves
Accident's and crime.

For the planet would fill up
Very fast with every deprivation.
That mankind to itself could ever do,
As well as the greatest minds we ever knew.

Without the mercy of time,
Would they destroy themselves.
Wondering if there was a tomorrow,
What then would they find.

I guess we will never know,
Maybe we could find.
If we could live a little longer,
If we said it all together,
That we believed in time.

As always, a deeper meaning lying behind the easy rhythm and rhyme; another Gem Alan - how do you find the time?

I like the way you have extrapolated the concept of living outside of time, Alan. I think it would have been better if the wall between yesterday and today was like thick treacle rather than solid 'glass'. Then, revisiting the past would be a struggle (as would coming back) but at least it would be possible. Hey ho! The thoughts of those whose minds are being tuned towards leaving time once again, eh?
Blessings, Allen
