When I wrote this I got my day's mixed up.
Daisy's departure is on Monday,
Doreen's funeral is on the Tuesday.
But thought I'd let the poem stand.

GOODBYE DOREEN GOODBYE DAISY

Today my heart does a double beat,
It's the day they put little daisy to sleep.
It's also the day of Doreen's funeral,
I'm torn between the two.
Feeling so down on life,
I don't know what to do.

The wife's sisters funeral,
She was a lovely person.
That l virtually never met,
Then we have daisy.
She was more than just a pet,
Yet I have to go to the funeral.

If not others will think I'm rude,
I'm really in two mind's.
I don't know what to do,
Feel as though my heart will break.
For if it does please don't try to mend it,
With staples and a pot of glue.

I'm sure I'll be invited to the wake,
Being diabetic think I'd rather be with daisy.
Then try to kill myself by guzzling beer,
while eating sugary cakes.
