on the outer and inner being
the outer is all decked up
-rock solid and sharp
while the inner is bare and rich
-molten and flowing.

strong and sturdy
with tenderness transfused
from you
and i tell you
first time i get it
why i have always enjoyed waiting
while its so easy to reach out
there is something mystical
about waiting
about waiting for you
about waiting for us
for this space of waiting
opens a world of possibilities
a chance for me
to be with myself
when i am not with you
and its strange in a way
for i am most with myself
when i am with you

allows me to receive myself
and hold myself steady
on my feet

get set go.
