THE HUG

Thought it was a meteorite,
When it crashed upon the land.
The tentacled creature tried to shake hands,
With the animal known as man.
As he reached out towards them,
Man quaked with fear didn't understand.
Although his features resembled a bug,
He thought that he could calm them all.
By giving the Humans what they often sort,
A hug. As his tentacles embraced them,
They wondered if they could survive.
He could feel their body's go limp,
From the crush of his tentacles.
Not one was left alive.
The creature thought to himself,
Why did man Traverse space.
If it couldn't survive a hug,
From a ever loving alien race.
