She Speaks

Yes,
She Speaks
Not just with her voice
but with her agency
known and intimate to her
but also for you
forlorn but known to her
that personal is political
as much as
political is also personal.
That is why she has
learnt to listen
listen with discerning ears
to deconstruct what is stated
to lift the veil over the said words
to loosen the knots from the dogma.

So when she speaks
She speaks with conviction
from having excavated
herself from the mould she was
made to grow into
She speaks with a force for she has braided
the past with the emerging future
And if
you have been listening too
Let the resonance not surprise you.
