Needs....
Children and invalids alonerely on legitimate dependency
need and the hermit
lives, bereft of needs, but all human species
have
similar needs
except they pursue in different ways
that unite and divide them.
We are all valuables
and humanity needs our individual
service, besides
we need each other as we need
the earth we share, despite
our different opinions.
Maturity is in
differentiating
between fake society made wants
directed solely for temporary self benefits
and the genuine innate need for
what is greater than us
which has no substitute
and which alone is needed
by what in man is sheer
awareness.
Where basic daily needs are left unmet, individuals
seek illegitimate source
to meet them, increasingly
divided from themselves
and ostracized from others. Happiness
is there where wants and needs
are small but the desire, duty-bound
to give is big. Better be
what the world needs.
