This is the third installment of
Orbis. ( 1 ORBIS ) (2 THE ORBIS CONUNDRUM)

WITHIN THE PLANET ORBIS ( pt3 )

In each crews quarters that we slept,
We found different coloured steps.
In the canteen we found many more,
Floating seamlessly above the floor.

Seemingly going nowhere at first glance,
We didn't take any notice of them before.
Until we saw a map of the ship,
In one of the many corridors.

We thought they where part of the decor.
The first ones we tried took us to different,
parts of ship, to place's we hadn't been.
The green one bought us back to the canteen.

Most cargo holds held something within,
While others were full to the brim.
All escape pod's seemed to be accounted for,
There were still a vastness that we hadn't explored.

We found a botanical garden with fruit we all
enjoyed. An armoury full of explosive toys,
Hangers with spacecraft bigger than our own,
We fled our earth from an alien race.
To a ship lost within the stars,
The fortified spacecraft planet orbis,
A place that we call home.
