Trek of the prodigal Poet
A no longer quite fresh season continues,
Yet hope remains, its breath entwines,
In days now past, a prodigal to poetry,
Returning to seek what heart and mind incline.
These days have found me once adrift,
In the vast and boundless online sea,
Where words and thoughts, like ships, traverse,
Crossing in the nightscape, setting spirits free.
Their wakes weave verse, thoughts intertwined,
Companionship in lines of prose,
A journey of the soul, redefined,
Where every whisper softly flows.
And perhaps, before the end is near,
Something of today will linger on,
As sails retract and harbor calls,
A final flight before the dawn.
A voyage etched in poetic lines,
A testament to heart and sky,
The prodigal returns, with dreams anew,
In the boundless realm where words can fly.
