A Thanksgiving poem, first to the eight that have for some reason or other chose to mark me as their Poetbay writing friend on their profile (last I checked). This is not meant to exclude everyone else.

Ode to Writing Friends

To Jamsbo Rockda, whose words are pure,

A voice of wisdom that will endure,

With every line, a rhythmic beat,

A steady pulse where minds may meet.

Your verses, sharp yet soft with grace,

A beacon in this timeless space.

To Ken D Williams, with heart profound,

Where ink and passion know no bound.

In every stanza, truth is told,

A quiet fire that burns like gold.

Through highs and lows, you've paved the way,

For words to find their light each day.

To Thomas Perdue, whose quiet pen,

Speaks volumes in a world of men,

A poet’s soul with depth so wide,

A depth where many would not hide.

Your silent presence still remains,

Echoing through your gentle refrains.

To Anly Stede, though far you roam,

Your words still echo, call us home.

Your voice, though distant, lingers near,

A song of joy, a sound sincere.

Your legacy, though time has passed,

In poetry, it ever will last.

To LeMoustache, long lost in time,

Yet still your verse does softly chime.

A name that's etched in memory's stone,

Your poetry, an endless tone.

Even when you’ve walked away,

Your words still hold a place today.

To Alan J Ripley, a steady guide,

In every line, we do confide.

Through moments dark, through times of light,

Your writing sparks the soul’s delight.

Your spirit strong, your hand so sure,

A friendship that will still endure.

To D.G. Moody, steadfast friend,

Your words, like rivers, never end.

In every metaphor you weave,

We find the strength to still believe.

Your voice, a lantern in the dark,

Guiding us to leave our mark.

And Alarian, though your time is brief,

In words you’ve left a lasting relief.

Your poems, gentle, strong, and true,

Still breathe a life that's rich and new.

In every line, you’ve shared your soul,

And in that gift, you've made us whole.

To all these friends, from far and wide,

In words and poems, we do confide.

Through every verse, through every rhyme,

Our hearts beat steady, out of time.

A friendship forged in ink and song,

A bond that is forever strong.

Alan J Ripley The PoetBay support member heart!
What a inspiration of poeteers,
Through your ingenuity of verse.
It's nice to see within your poem,
Your friends all interspersed.
Although I know to well,
You can't include all the poet's.
You know within your rhymes,
I'd like to thank you for including mine.
Regards Alan
