I haven't been able to sleep lately. Ever seen the movie Fight Club? Ed Norton's character has insomnia..that is how I feel.."Everything's a copy..of a copy..of a copy..."


Insomnia

Eyes wide open
Straining to see
I am so tired
But I cannot sleep

I try to count sheep
I try to clear my mind
Nothing works
I feel like I am going crazy

I toss and I turn
I try to relax
My mind wanders around
Now it's gone too far

I stuff cotton in my ears
To block out the noise
I put a mask over my face
To block out the light

My room is a perfect tempreture
Nice and cold, just how I like it
Yet, nothing works..
I am a walking zombie

Since my childhood I had constant nightmares, so insomnia became my friend and enemy at the same time.. At least beautiful poetry could flourish from it.. lovely..
