time goes fast when you don't stare at the time passing by

plus tu regardes ta montre longtemps
plus le temps qui passe te paraît long
donc pour que le temps qui passe te semble court
tu ne dois pas penser au temps cad, faire quelque chose de ta vie

the more you stare at your watch
the more, time will flow slowly and lengthy
then, for the time to be short
one has to think not about time, that means to do something with your life

Yes, I can see the philosophic message here. Very true. I would just remark that the older you get, however you fill your day, time appears to speed up. The moments when you lift your head and question 'what is the time?' are those when you realise how time has passed so frighteningly rapidly. It is true, there is not enough time. Blessings, Allen

Such a lovely clarity to this piece; philosophical, yet grounded. It moves like a quiet truth whispered between moments: time expands when watched, shrinks when lived. Thank you for this; it's a gentle nudge toward presence.
