OH THE HEAT! (Addid Lines)

Oh the heat!
So unbearabl!

HOT SO HOT!
Temprcher 34C and more!

Even at past 12 midnight, teprcher 23C!

Temptatan to Moon Bath is strong!
Walking up Margtes old High Street

The outher day, were not unlke walking
The foot hills, of the himalyers for yours truly!

Staging to benches to sit take a rest, a brake, tiering!

Yes I had just orderd another book!
Not for me, for a good mate of mine

A working man spots me, rushes over, gives me a bottal of walter!

Engugeing me keep me - keep hydrated!

So very kind of the thortful The Stranger, a freind, well met!

I unscal the cap, and gulp down the sweet necter of walter!
Revivde, I get on my way!
Finaly rech the top of the Hight Street, name, righty named!
Under the circimstanses, that prevaild!
At the top of the High Street, turn left, to the croseing, push the Buton!
Trafik stops, I stager over the road, make my way to base camp
The Curve cafea!
Base Camp, arrivde!
Order a cup of decaffanated capocheno!
Step outside, to enjoy the fragranse wofting  into my nastals pasge, lovely!

Finaly - Finaly - Stager To The Top Of The Moutin Top And

The  Curve!

Outside, The Curv, I have met, a poet and a recording singer!
Me being  presumpches, some say, I were rather rude!
Hand over one of coppys of bissnes cards!
Leads to conversatans!
The poet was reading a book of poetry!

She said: ' you saw I were readin ', ' Er yes, beg your pardan '
Sorry to rude '
' Not atall ' , see from your card ,you write poety as well! '
' Er yes I do, not Oxford or Cambrige, type, I have to confess
To you! '
The poet hands over the book of poetry to me

I flick through, spot a shorty one
I proseed to read out loud
After each stanz, I add a line or two, as I found the work
Kind of calld upon me too so do!
Sertanly on reading, a buton pushde!
She liked the way I read the work!
Resolt!
She said; ' I will read your work ' ; I smild, and thanked her
Not expeckting her to read much of my work!
But stone me, later she has read, scors of my work, I am so
Gratfal to her for reading my works!

The singer, same kind of , I prvaild on her, gave her a card!

We got to chating, talking, as is my wont!
Talkd of write about, subjekes!
Went into story telling mod!

She liked what I had to say, said ; ' I will be reading your work '
I thanked, and I smild
We may well meet again outside The Curve, a honny pot
That atracks, artists of all types and kinds, veryatans, inclouding
And me, I wish!

Thank you, Zelda and Jeny!
And thank you the unknown man for the botal of walter you gave Me gave me that day!

Ken, thank you for this. Much kinship with you in my distaste for extreme heat, and in our shared love of poems!

This lively poem captures the intense heat of the day and the narrator's enduring journey up a steep street, marked by moments of fatigue, unexpected kindness, and meaningful encounters. It celebrates the beauty of human connection, creativity, and community, as the narrator exchanges stories and shares poetry with fellow artists outside a café. The poem radiates warmth, charm, and gratitude for small but impactful experiences.🕊🙏🏻
