Fumplejack

It was the fumplejack that thought,
Time to turn time on.
Where time shouldn't exist,
For there's no going back.
In time to a world that doesn't exist,
It did once but that was yesterday.
Yesterday was a little bit darker.
Than the day before yesterday,
Because that seemed brighter,
Than tomorrow's tomorrow.
Today didn't get a say as it contained,
Reminisce of a yesterday before tomorrow.
Existing in a flux of time with a fluidity,
That only today could contain within itself.
Within a forgotten today that always changed,
The fumplejack was there at the beginning.
Of our universe creation it had watched many before,
This one was different trapping fumplejack.
In a unsuspecting universe where it shouldn't exist.
It couldn't escape the perimeters of our universe,
The ring of fire that surrounded it had stopped it.
Eventually time would pass aeons from now,
Flowing through the edge of time. the fumplejack
Would pass like death itself, dying to come alive.
As the fumplejack waited and watched alone,
As one universe dies another begins,
Such was the circle of life.
The fumplejack watched as it had done,
Many times before, maybe this time
Mankind wouldn't destroy his world.
The fumplejack Reminisced, as he thought,
God had really dropped the ball on this one.
