unfinishedness
the line begins
but does not settle —
a fragment, a stair
that halts mid‑air _
to write is to leave
a margin of absence,
a scaffolding exposed,
a thought refusing polish.
unfinishedness is not failure
but invitation:
the reader steps in,
completes the arc,
or leaves it trembling.
the poem ends here —
except it doesn’t.
you carry it forward
in silence,
in the next word
you almost speak _
