ABRUPTLY AWOKEN

Awoken abruptly from my sleep,
Nothing heard not a peep.
I felt a pain across my chest,
Enough to make the widows weep.

As in our bed, I lie,
Will I be missed, if I should die.
Will the angels send out a lament,
If during the night i'm heaven sent.

Is this my time to pass away,
Or will I live another day?
For how can I live if my heart is torn,
I guess I'll find out in the morn.
