Baby Dancer

Baby dancer, dances sprightly,
Feet tap so lightly, they might be
Feathers fumbling on the dance floor,
Tumbling from stage onto stage door.
People laugh and jeer

But baby dances with no fear
For baby dancer’s born to dance
And since baby has got this chance
There’s no room for introspection
Or slanderous superstition
For baby dancer will keep dancing
While this chance keeps on chancing
No matter who or how many jeer.
For baby dancer hears just cheers.
