A Comfortable Apocalypse

The sun has slipped to sleep so now
The world must follow suit.
The sun has gone and closed its eyes
Now we must do so too.

The world will grow cold in a while
So we must huddle close.
The world will ice over and freeze.
Please wear your winter coat.

Be careful not to wear it tight.
Make sure your hands are free.
Be careful not to be alone.
Hug your loved ones tightly.

Sameen,

Your poem made me think of my children when they were young and my constant nagging for them to put on their coats, gloves, and hats. My words were often ignored but the hugs were not dependent on their actions!

Very nice!

Sincerely,
Melinda
