Sun Song

I dim.

My journey's shortened.

I cast my rays for just a while.
I see their smiles.
Sometimes I see a bead of sweat break,
Soon to be lost in frost.

I should be sad.

I should ache.

Instead, I'm glad the road is curved
And I go to rest soon after waking.
It takes a lot to be so burning.
Sometimes I'm glad I'm dim.

It inspired sadness in me. I think the energy of the Sun is multi-faceted, and of vital importance not only in the physical realm. But then again, I wonder if you intend this poem to be read in a completely different way? Blessings, Allen
