A CHILLING THOUGHT

Whilst I slumber,
Forever forgotten
In a world of dreams,
Nothing is what it seems.

Age is no confusion,
There's no allure of time.
Only what is now,
Within an open mind.

when you wake within a dream,
I've often wondered why.
Is this what happens,
When your body dies.

Does our conscious carrys on,
To the next phase of our life.
Will we see loved ones again,
As we travel to our afterlife.

A chilling thought,
Runs through my head.
Or am I just delusional
As I slumber in my bed;

Living life in a universe,
That to us defies explanations.
Are we just a microscope being,
In a much bigger brain.

You ask good questions, Alan. I have the same questions, we all do, what comes next? Perhaps, a seance is wanted?! Are dreams a glimpse of what's to come/ It is chilling, you expressed it just as it is. This has me thinking of futuristic thoughts. Thank you!
