Never 2 Old
She’d often said her lovin’ daysWere packed away for good
“Romance? Nah, that ship ’as sailed
I’m happier with me pud”
But one night out, two glasses in
Champagne startin’ to bite
She felt a buzz she’d not felt since
The days of disco light
She laughed, she danced, she had a boogie
Floatin’ like she was twenty three
While the bubbles whispered, “Go on, girl”
And she thought, “Why not? That’s me”
Next morn she woke up startled
In a bed she’d never seen
With some geezer snorin’ next to her
A seventy something sex machine
She grabbed her specs, blinked twice, then gasped
“Cor blimey… what’s all this?
I thought me love life packed it in
Turns out it just needed fizz”
She tiptoed out all flustered
But grinnin’ ear to ear
Thinkin’, “Life ain’t done with me just yet
There’s still some fun round ’ere”
’Cos love don’t check your birth date
Or wait for some grand plan
Sometimes it sneaks up cheeky‑like
With Champagne… and a mystery man
