NO INSPIRATION LEFT

Don't mean to be a bore,
My elevators stuck between floors.
I've lost my Je Ne Sais Quoi,
My mind doesn't travel that far.

I can't remember inspirational dreams,
Think they've up and left so it seems.
There's still words floating between floors,
Drifting patriciously through walls and doors.

Leaving me time, feeling negat.
To look for my mind, Whilst awake.
That isn't their anymore,
I'm going extinct as a dinosaur.

As my mind slowly deconstructs,
Theirs no one to blame.
For in God's eyes,
We all live the same.

I've lived I've loved I've cared,
For others, My life i've shared,
As for the children I have in my life,
For that I would like to thank my wife.

Alan, as I read this I imagined a home filled with words and memories floating from you and all around you, which makes me feel sad. But your words here touched my heart and I am thankful they still flow from you and you post them here.

Big hugs, my friend.
Sincerely,
Melinda

You have kept writing, Alan and that's what counts.
And for the record, it isn't boring at all 🕊️🙏
