This has a clear and grounded message. Trust the work itself before the commentary. The list of names, Frida, Emily, Virginia, Sylvia, gives the poem a reverent weight, and the turn toward primary sources is refreshing. The line "stand before the art and behold" is the strongest moment, direct and almost devotional. But the poem stays a little dry. It tells the reader what to do more than it shows the speaker doing it. A small glimpse of one poem or painting actually encountered would make the argument feel lived instead of advised. Still, the respect for these women comes through.
