to slump back into his seat

”Let's take pictures of Suzee, Kathinka and me!”
I took him out
to a leafy background
by the creek,
with Suzanne & Kathinka
on either side
He looked straight at me
with kind eyes and open face
as I raised the camera,
and said:
”We never do this!”

”Raise your hand
if you make a mistake”,
addressing his musicians
in the Cologne studio,
recording Stop & Start
