Unacceptable

Think I have an unacceptable life,
Aways wondering why am I alive.
Did an angel wrap her wings around me?
I wanted to die, but she wouldn't let me.

As though commanded by the skies,
She wouldn't let me go into the night.
even though my body tried.
There was nothing left of me inside.

Each day is the same for me,
I awake to a place I don't wish to be.
Please put me back in my comatose state,
I have no wish to ponder about my fate.

I'm certain if I made it to the pearly gates,
They would have left me full of sorrow.
As I read these fateful words,
Gone to lunch come back tomorrow.

And although I have no wish to die,
I hear these words floating in my mind.
Sometimes I sit. Bow my head and cry
As I ask myself, Why am I still alive?
