for me – out of time:
the voices:
my parents,
my brother, my sister,
my teachers,
old friends:
Kjellström, Sune, Sture,
Calle T, Kalle P,
Camilla, Ulla, Eva, Inger,
Sirkka, Dellaree –
& Judy, the ex-wife:
all these background sounds
in the lavish
& constantly vanishing singularity
of the illusory present,
constructed from memories & imaginings;
custom reminiscences, Brezhnev retouches
& etched pain arrests
in the sound of spokes, wind in trees,
trickling water & someone coughing:
our framework,
our collective agreement with the cosmos
in the curatively cognitive ghost-town hallucinations
of background sounds
