Cont. series. Some of these phobias may sound silly to you or I..but someone, somewhere has these and deals with it everyday.


Francophobia- Fear of France or French culture

I met the perfect man tonight
In my college town
He has a wonderful smile
My perfect mate all around

He comes from a land so far away
From Belgium he tells me
Land of chocolate and flowers
So he says to me

We meet the next day for coffee
We stroll hand in hand
I feel so light and airy
I hope this day never ends

He invites me back to his apartment
For a movie or two
I am so excited
I didn't have anything else to do

I walk inside and I am stunned
To see the French Flag
Right away I feel quite dizzy
And very disgusted inside

I feel like I will pass out
Where the hell is the door
I must get out of here
I can't take this anymore

He ask me what is wrong
He comes to give me a hug
I push him away very hard
And asked him why he lied

What is this French Flag for
Get it away from me!
I look around and see French movies
Covering wall to wall

"I am from Belgium
But French all the way through
I didn't know this would be a
Problem for you!!"

I run out of the apartment
With all of my might
I never want to see him again
In all of my life..

first time i hear of this one... it is peculiar... someone with this disorder would be afraid of me because im french speaking... that would definitely make a situation awkward... not really sure what to think of this phobia... youve described it well as you can really feel the anxiety and fear coursing through this realization she makes at the end... the mood at the end feels frantic, depicts terror uncontrolled... an excellent text, im really enjoying this series... thanks for sharing :f
