Another set of Eyes

Truth, I've been spending my entire life
Looking through someone else's eyes
I see, I've been doing not what I'm trusting
Although that is what I must

Eventually everything loosened from
the hypnosis I was under
Reality came on crushing like thunder

Truth, I've been feelin' the same old way
And I know whatever I do you'll be here to stay
I saw that bright beam of light
Then I knew I was gonna be alright
That was just the other night

BRIDGE I
This roar's
been here before
I just can't accept
trouble anymore

My eyes are open they're not closed
although that's what they've been the most
Like mirrors reflecting other men's views
Like people neglecting what is so true
from inside so solid and certain as ourselves
ringing them bells

Thank you truth for telling me this
how simple and easy everything is
I cannot touch what I had before
I don't even know now what all of that was for
I just keep going in my own direction
It doesn't matter if it`s as I`s expecting

This roar's
Been here before
I just cant accept
trouble anymore

You know exactly what I feel
You know exactly what is real
Although what you've felt inside is hurtin`

Although what you touched outside wasn't certain

A limitless line
You will find

Truth, now I see you've been here all the time
Sittin' by me on my chair
Sippin' that same old wine
Before
I was never to sure
Now I'm at the core

You told me
I told to you
What is the same
in both of our views

Truth, as your numbers continues to roll
Infinitely big
Infinitely small
Some people told
This ain't old
This is new
I've seen you are timeless
Isn't that true?
And if someone is speechless
It is maybe you?

Truth, I know you're in the dollar that I spend
More so then in the one still in my hand
If I nearly grab you
you say you cannot be tamed
Your will will sustain

This roar's
Been here before

Truth, as I see you've been here all the time
I'm glad you walked by me
all the while
time was telling
me to be free
Now I see

Truth, someone just gave me a smile
Been waiting now a mighty while
If it's me that is so uncertain
and can nothing face
I'm sure you too left a trace
And if I'm someone else
If I'm you
If you're in me
Beeing too

Thank you truth for telling me this
how simple and easy everything is
I'm ready now
To roll and to tumble
I'm ready now to let what needs to be free, crumble
And rest too
I need lots of that
I lay down my hat
