just a short piece i did late on night. apeirophobia is the fear of infinity by the way,

Spontaneous Apeirophobia

My heart's beat decreases.
Eyelids close.
Breathing slows.
Eyes open.
And there she is.

So soon it begins.

She knows not how much I love her eyes.
Her eyes never stray, but mine can't
Help but wander as the rays of sun
Paint the table a chestnut gold.
I look across at her; she sheepishly
Grins and retreats to the deep black
Sea gripped between her hands. I know
Just how she likes that sea that's
Sitting in her favorite mug; no sugar
Or cream, just black, like the night
That gracefully brought her to me
With such ease.

She is completely unaware that to me
Her face resembles some sort of deeply
And throughly calculated math problem;
Perfect in every way. The soft curvature
And subtle lines seemingly continue
Forever, into infinity. This does not
Bother me in the least, I am in
No way apeirophobic. So I sit and
Enjoy this beautiful chimera for two. I
Now show her my timid smile, but her attention
Is focused on that black sea; the one resembling
The blackness closing in around me and her.

How quickly it ends.

She's gone already.
Eyes open.
Quick inhale.
Iris tightens.
Heart breaks.

Erased
The images are superb. The fine detail described so succintly, the picture and feeling of held breath hold the monet perfectly.
