The stars may not come out tonight
And fail to light up the sky
The moon will hide behind large dark clouds
And fail to shine upon the ground
The sun will disappear into the sky
Keeping the day as gloomy and dark
I will survive, with you by my side
All the light I need will be shining on
The winds may stop blowing its breeze
The birds will stop chirping and flying
The flowers may fade and never bloom
Taking the magic off the day
I will survive, with you around
All the magic will just happen for me
Friends will turn away from me
Shun away run and hide
Talk with me they will not want any more
Friendships I will no longer have
But I will survive with you around
Friendships all I ever want in you I find
Alone and lost I stay at night
Feeling sad that no love I have
Craving for arms to hold me tight
Longing for comfort only a man can give
I still will survive with you by my side
All that love, all the care, all the comfort I crave for
You my friend have freely given to me
The days will be hard to go along
Making me trod unsteady and slow
Bringing me troubles I simply can't bear
Making me weak, and fret in despair
Making me fall, heavy laden
I still will survive with you around
All the courage I want to go on along
You have given, you still will give
I have no doubt on that
All the strength I want in you I find
So a friend as solid and strong as you
A friend as trusting, so caring and giving
A friend so loving such comfort bringing
A friend with humour, encouragement giving
A friend reliable, and always charming
Always being there just for me
Where will I ever find a friend like you?
Up and downs yes we have had
Still you there by my side
Lifted me up when I was down
Gave me a life bought me a home
I am in debted to you as long as I live
I still need you around
For me to survive you I need
Stay with me don't leave me now
Just love me again the way you know
In your arms hold me tight
In your heart keep me safe
I will then survive in your heart
All the joy I ever want
In your heart I will always find
My love for you is unconditional
My love for you an ocean is
No boundaries, no commitments
Freely flowing yours to take
Loving you freely is all I know
I am there for you when you need me too
Though not much I have to give to you
My life for you I will lay down
I want to survive please stay with me
You the source of courage to me
Most all you are my friend

Friend to survive
