.

digging deep into invisible veins

weary skin destroyed
by red lines that
obscure
personal
symmetry.
she is left with
stinging and
a ringing
in her
ears.

as you go away,
the wounds stay.
comforting and bright
fists clenched cautiously
eyes closed tight.

palm writes
in a cursive agony

i feel
obscene
emptiness
so much that steel becomes
a deep caress

no more short skirts
only bandages and a distant hurt.
