One kiss

If I could kiss that one mouth,

and stand with that kiss

on a ledge of eternity

I would be as a flame

of clearest love

burning for all future.

If I could see your true eyes

and never look back into myself

seeing the well of belief

I could withstand the most

testing time of loneliness

knowing I had seen you.

If the warmth inside me

could be minted into coin

I would be wealthy without end

and would buy away the worlds evil

giving beyond comprehension

to all the needy you and me.

The first word that springs to mind is beautiful, that one kiss can fill one with such warmth.

This is beautiful. The text has a calming rhytm, a soothing soul.

The first verse is exceptional!
