All of us have things we would like to forget, forgive, or do all over again. This is a poem I wrote when thinking about some of the mistakes of my past...this is what I would say to the 14 year old me, now....as I am 10 years later.

Past Regrets

Your childhood eyes were so intense
While bartering your innocence
But you got more than what you bartered for

Acceptance was all you wanted
From silly boys and your friends

Out of all the roads that you could've followed
Your decision was so poor

So here you are years later
Regretful for the things you're not
And all dreams you haven't got

Counting the times you did something right
But when you had to add them up
You found that they were not enough

To get you in
Pay for sins repeated

So after all you've done
Will you be forgiven?
God holds the key
HIS acceptance makes life living

So all of your mistakes
Take time to learn from them
You cannot change the past
Cast all your doubts on Him

jacy
very true, when we're young we all do some silly things lol. but the real way to deal with past regrets is to just accept we have regrets. to point is to make up for them :)
