It's hard to look at this, because this really is about someone who was special to me and I pushed her away. But I'll still put it up.

Cleo

Cleopatra
History's impalpable queen
The Egyptian Siren
Her majesty spreads throughout her kingdom
A body of unimaginable perfection
A heart richer than the City of Gold
I look at her with awe and bewilderment
This is beyond God's capabilities
She controls the world around me
Her auburn hair creating the serene breeze
Her immaculate smile illuminating my darkness
Her seraphic eyes possessing the eternal bliss
She takes the throne at 18
But she already had the power within her
A power that attracts the greatest of men
Caesar, Mark Anthony, the greats of Egypt
All have fallen victim to this drug
Just a touch from her is all it takes
I slowly deteriorate inside
Knowing the inevitable fate
As I reminisce the time not so long ago
Missing the long talks while the moon is at its peak
Missing her angelic body grasped in my arms
Worst than any addiction in our immoral lives
An obsession that cannot be controlled
No one able to reach the likes of her
Misunderstood by the f**king addicts
Elegant, divine, intelligent
An angel walking among us
But I feel the disturbance in her heart
A love not yet found in her prominence
A family of disconnection and turmoil
She's a conscious sleeping beauty
Poisoned by the sins of the world
Living in a state of fantasy
Trying to stay away from reality
Waiting for her prince to wake her
With his kiss of epiphany
So as she begins her reign of glory
And our two paths begin to diverge
She needs to know
That for this repugnant slave
In his silence and inferiority
She was the meaning in his pathetic life
No word in our vernacular to describe her
Only her name is enough
Cleopatra
The most beautiful creature to ever walk on this earth.
