Night Glass Cantos
when you appear in the night
and you fill me with light,
I disappear for the while
wandering through your bright file,
when the world is cased in glass
and my thoughts erased alas,
there is one that shines to remain
like beauty defines it's refrain,
in an ivory box on a velvet bed
which your hand of silk locks me where I am led,
to wear the evening in chains of gold
pure as a dream watching the rains unfold,
when the lamp is lit in the window dark
and the shadows flitter high below the mark,
I close my eyes let the light divide
to find the corners where we confide,
where will we meet in this fallen night
where you shall fill me with touches light,
wandering through your bright file
I disappear for a while,
