300 Spartans.

I see the sky now darken over
With a million flightless birds
As we gather in the sun and heat
Our screams remain unheard
But this is not as time predicts
We will not die in vain
I see Three Hundred stand as one
To face this deadly rain
With courage that is steeped in blood
And valour dressed in pain
Yes we will die but not alone
As witnessed by the sun
To dry the blood of hero's
As Three Hundred fought as one.

Kathy Lockhart
this is wonderful Graham. Such imagery as this brings these words alive.
