THE FIX OF HOPE

I don't know about you , but hope is like a drug ,

works like a drug , keeps me going till it

wears off , I tell my self ''no more , no more''

but some pusher of that drug of hope offers me a quick fix,

so I hand over my trust , as payment ,

I forget my many painful experances ,

take the fix , swallow it , then it wears off , so few hopes realized

no more ,no more , till a fix is poushde under my nose

Those who were and are for reel I thank you , with out you I'd not have made it

this far down the road of life.

*Great big hugs* I like the part about paying with trust. Yes, that is so right on target.

When hope is lost, so is all else. A poignant write, much enjoyed, read it twice. (I still have not read the epic about your grandfather, saving it for when I have lots of time.) Keep writing, and hoping, luv, normalil.

Is not hope the most-needed "fix" of all? Nice write!
