Title taken from 'The Walk' by The Cure.

The Walk

Our love was a walk,
Masking our woes
While bursting our tongues
On the talons of crows

Our dry-water walk
Was the gateway between
The ashes of Adam
And bleached bones of Eve

Our star shrunken walk
Left us desperate for more
Just as liberty lies
Bound and chained to the floor

For long had our walk
Simply blunted our cries
Filling us over
With fragmented lies
And shards of white pavement
That peel up our skin
And drown out the light
Of the true self within

(And you sing
"Let's go for a walk
Take me for a walk
Let's go for a walk")
