New Horizens

Sunsets red with golden hue's

Hard rock music mixed with blues

Sandy beaches azure skies

Made new friends with fond goodbyes

Had a laugh and shed some tears

My past now gone, along with fears

Exotic foods and fine red wine

I feel I'm now in tune with time

A love for life at last re-newed

That which was lost can be reviewed

In time and space was meant to be

My life mapped out for all to see

A childhood lost, I bare the scars

Yet distant now as sun or mars

Loved ones lost in adult life

Have caused me heartache, pain and strife

A wife, a child and in despair

My life at last is in repair

From out the darkness, comes the light

No longer blighted by my plight

Old friends and new have made me see

A whole new world in front of me

My past I know I cannot change

But what is gone can re-arrange

Held in my heart and memory

In pictures that I still can see

One cannot live in what is gone

Fotr I'm still here, and life goes on

Long suffered guilt and even shame

I've made my peace, no longer roam

My time is now, I'm comming home.
