Jealousy in mind

Jealousy it sounds so bold
Yet creates in one a world untold
Sights and sounds
familiar now
Take on hidden meanings
Strange somehow

Certain words, a sudden glance
What once meant nothing
Can now enhance
Consuming interest in a single word
Then just as quick its gone, absurd!

It hangs around, a half chewed bone
That reappears when your all alone
It nags and picks
Causing rage then fear
Where there once was peace
Is now an atmospere

Its just a word,a phase in time
And if your luckey, all in your mind
You can shrug it off
Or you can spit it out
But always there will be the seeds of doubt
