For a dear friend whose life is in pieces due to the ugliness of others.


Inconsolable

I am percieved a leopard
I cannot change my spots
Its true that i still love you
For my heart is tied in knots

I can't disprove, what is'nt true
Or stem the wagging tongues
Or tie you down, to prove to you
A ladder has no rungs

My head is full of anger
My heart is full of dread
If only you listen, to what i say
Not what is said

You are the heart that beats within me
The very fibre of my soul
What must i do to prove to you
You are my one and only jewel

If you believe what is'nt true
I will walk this earth alone
And spend my life in solitude
Beside an empty throne.
