Faraway places,In foriegn Lands

In faraway places in foriegn lands
Starving children hold up their hands
Some are pleading, some in prayer
Seeking something that is'nt there

Salted eyes that shed no tears
Seek empathy to sway their fears
Of what the coming day may bring
Some form of sustenance, anything

From dawn to dusk the fight goes on
To stay alive they must be strong
But as every minute or hour goes by
We know that thousands more will die

Its help they need and not our pity
Or politicians being witty
Its help they need, while theres still time
Its doing nothing that is the crime.

"From dawn to dusk the fight goes on
To stay alive they must be strong
But as every minute or hour goes by

Yeah, it's just natural selection.

Well written.

Zoya Zaidi
Disease, starvation, war and fright,
That sadly is their plight,
Frought with hunger, genocide,
Famine, neglect, inhuman snide,
Where will all the children go?
When world forgets their pain and woe?

Your molten fire cotineus, sweet heart, to set the bay onfire...
I bow down to you...
Keep the embers smouldering!!!

((((hugs for that compassionate heart)))))

Chastisingly well said. I volunteer with special children but that's jus drop in ocean when we read of the avalanche of tragedy and disasters this year. Many of us want to do more.
