Coffee flavoured lies
I want to taste yourcoffee flavoured lies
again, before
indifference sets in.
Where long nights
are just a break
from even longer days.
Watch as you slouch
sleep angst frowns
watching white sliced
toast as it browns.
While I sip,
nibble at the corners
that charted our demise.
I don't want carpet slippers
or cheery false waves
and the tedium of
nasal hair clippers.
Let me brew for you
a mocha flavoured,
perhaps latte
dream of yesterday
