This Child Of Mine.

So full of life this child of mine
Through memory to present times
Brings to me, that which was lost
A pain as sharp as winters frost

Times forgotten put aside
That part of life I wish to hide
Buried deep within my mind
Resurface now the pain to find

I did'nt ask or even wish
Emotions hidden such as this
Assault me now without relent
A life now lost and in repent

She is the mirror of my soul
Reflections of what once was whole
I see her past, which once was mine
Yet seek a future for us to find.

Daybreaker
Beautiful, and with a bittersweet end which is my favourite ending of them all...

Your rytm is as always brilliant!

=)

Thanks.

I am seeing my mum in a whole different light because of your words. I never realised before that's how a parent sees their child. Thank you for sharing your thoughts

A beautiful personal poem that we have been allowed to infiltrate, " She is the mirror of my soul" I know exactly what you mean maybe sometime they are too much like us, neither of us will give way.
