Steps

Life is full of obstacles

That turns through love and sorrow

Not unlike a treadmill

That revolves into tomorrow

Each step we take goes forward

The one before is now the past

You cannot change or alter it

This now becomes your path

But steps if taken slowly

May reveal the dangers there

To see and then evaluate

Tread lightly and with care

Don't rush through life it's precious

Full of joy as well as pain

And the pitfalls if avoided

Shows there's so much more to gain.

Graham your words are truths that apply with every step we take in life. Our future, our past, and the present are all created by the steps in life we take and the paths we follow. The poetry of life is written upon each step. with great admiration, kathy

Amen, Brother! If there is a more important lesson, I'm afraid I don't know it!

A very well crafted delivery about the path we walk. Enjoyed the read.
