Eventually


there's nothing there
nothing in the silence
to take me away from here
your eyes still held compassion
they always did
you knew I had to know
it will be a February child
the one you said you wanted
and for me a final letting go
even though I can not smile
through this truth I can't avoid
there is a new day tomorrow
there will be something there
it's here now
but I can not reach it
peace will cover me
it always does
eventually

Woe.....inside these words is revealed a great sadness that triggers my sympathy.......and that is because you have expressed this situation with such vivid imagery .....I especially like the way it is ended......with that one powerful word "eventually". *4th line, though, I think may have a typo where you left the "r" off of you.
