Just a thought that goes though my mind a few times a day.
"Anyone wanna repair it?"

Repair My Heart

An empty slot is in my heart
Unfilled for the longest time
The space is filling with dust,
And my heart needs repair.

It wont stop aching, you see.
It hurts everytime I think about him.
I can't seem to make it beat normal
It speeds up when he's near.

Bits and pieces are torn off
I can't seem to find them anywhere
I've tried looking in the most weirdest places
But they don't seem to be there.

The stitching is torn -again-
And I have no more string.
I see you have some good hands
Would you mind trying to repair it?

Also there is dust in that space
Would you mind cleaning it out?
I think that space is going to be filled soon
At least, I hope anyway.

In such cases perhaps the term' Beyond Economical Repair' and the consideration of 'Life Cycle Replacement' are more appropriate.Great poem and thought provoking.
