Halloween

The time of the year is almost here
When Halloween is drawing near
Another of my pet aversions
With kids abroad on their excursions
Demanding things called trick or treat
Exacting gifts from every street
Cavorting dressed as ghouls and spooks
When they should be home and reading books
Bent on homework doing sums
I for one will be kicking bums
If they come knocking on my door
No treats from me and what is more
This Scrooge with aged wizened face
Worse than Beelzebub's grimace
Will have them scurrying home in dread
Where they should be - safe in bed.

Well the world is full of miserable old gits Toonist! lol No offence, if you don't recognised yourself! lol Perhaps this is a disguise for Halloween? lol

Me and my kids have celebrated this festival with gusto all their childhoods. For the kids, it is an affirmation that 'All' adults aren't so out of touch with their childs dream escape! It is just a bit of fun at the end of Autumn. We do Bon Fire Night too, built on the foundations of execution, but still, for the young, just a traditional bit of fun, no one has attempted to blow up the houses of parliment since, apart from the Irish, and that wasn't the kids fault! springs into her costume

Smiling at you
