A Long Long While

Sometimes in the mornings, when the sun peeks through the blinds.
I shed a tear because I find you on my mind.
I so miss your laughter and the way you made me smile.
I'll get over you, but it will take a long, long while.

Walking down the street, I see couples hand in hand.
Reminds me of the times we had, barefoot in the sand.
The sunset reflecting in your eyes of emerald green.
Was the sweetest sight that I have ever seen.

Girl, I miss you so. I hope that you are well
It hurt to let you go. I'm living in pure hell.
It was best for you, so I went away.
I miss you so damn much, each and every day.

Sometimes life gets in the way of living, don't you know?
Circumstances were not right, and you had to go.
I've used a million tissues, they made quite a pile.
I'll get over you, but it will take a long, long while.

Time has a way of healing, taking away the pain.
And someday I'll find someone and fall in love again.
I will not forget you, your beauty, grace and style.
I'll get over you, but it will take a long, long while.

Girl, I miss you so. I hope that you are well
It hurt to let you go. I'm living in pure hell.
It was best for you, so I went away.
I miss you so damn much, each and every day.
