Start

Sat tonight
With birth on left
Death on right
Both insisting on being
Quite equal
Which is easy to do
Without the usual
Ballyhoo
All able to
Differentiate endings
From beginnings...
The start to the finish
Lines.
Death and life
Start
In the same place
Within our hearts.

I'm over there
Pointing madly.

I really enjoyed this and like the ease with which you employ different rhythms effortlessly in your poetry. It taps into something inside me that sees life as musical with a full range of tones.

That being said, I was a little thrown off by the part "Easy to do.... Ballyhoo" It seemed sl. too whimsical and distracted me.
Please, though, I really like your work and I'm from a part of the States where we wouldn't give a compliment if it wasn't deserved.
I look forward to more poems from you. Hans

Yes! heart starts to tick...then tick stops, and all that is left is our hearts. Excellent view on equality, in life and death, there is always the heart, without it there is nothing. I hope your experience of saturday night, wasn't too distressing.

smiling at you
