The Back Of Her Mind

Periodically she visits the back of her mind
To deal with the unresolved pains and consult
Her character along with others. A regular journey
Undertaken willingly for her health. More now
She is finding there less hurt, she is gaining his face
As he glimpsed her thigh for the first time simmering...
How her mother smiled realising her daughter was
Just like herself...blue eyes smiling at the sky...
How she promised herself aged nine to always pirouette.

Cluttering up the front of the back of course are
The things not yet liberalised recently.
She needs to create a new index but yet pauses
For fear of disturbance..
She decides to become more periodic. Her chosen
Moments leave time to her for life. She is still forming
Her character in the back of her mind. She is happy
To continue. She has pieced her peace together...

What is immediately in front of her eyes each day
Inspires none of the above.

The back of my mind can be found in my garage.
Lots of stuff in a random heap.Every item a surprise when occasionally I turn them over. Then I say 'Whyever did I keep that?'
But all are significant milestones on my shakey pathway through life.
Then again thinks, 'Must have a car boot sale to get back to basics'.
Nice poem Linda.

I would need a map to get anywhere near the back of my mind but I've misplaced it...
I relate only too well to this Linda.
Thanks, Nick
